The smell of the co-op

Bushwick Co-op members chat.

We have noticed that cooperative food have a characteristic smell (no, this isn't patchouli) and our E-mail today we surveyed organizing cooperative Brooklyn on their theories on the origin of which it is true, totally pleasant smell.

Rachel Devlin, Bushwick Food co-op:

It costs green, with a certain amount of sweet fruit such as apples and plums, cut garlic.Have you ever noticed how in the supermarket vegetables not smell like what anyone? even garlic and garlic is so smelly, does the smell of the tout.Il ambience dew in the co-op.

David Marangio, Bay Ridge Food co-op:

It is more fresh food and less packaging, having more living food in the store.And spices.

Anna Mussig, Greene Hill Food co-op:

It is the machine butter peanut and all large sites, obviously, right?
