GOWANUS For librarians and literary folk who love a good party, the annual Biblioball is like a thriller, a romance, and a tell-all in one. Guests at this Desk Set gala get to mingle with literary celebs like Gilbert Ford (“Flying Lessons”) and Marcy Demansky (“Bad Marie”); hear wizard rockers Harry and the Potters; see trapeze artists, and shake their booty to great DJs all night long. All proceeds benefit Literacy for Incarcerated Teens (LIT), including raffle tickets for awesome prizes like a plane ticket to anywhere in the U.S., a week in Colorado, gift certificates for James, Great Jones, Enid’s, Rosewater, and more. Leatherbound tickets are nearly sold out, but you can still snag a “Hardcover” for $20 online until 9am on Saturday, or $25 at the door.
