GREENPOINT Sometimes, we get so caught up in our own Brooklyn pride that we forget non-New Yorkers can be just as passionate about their cities. Thankfully, WORD is here to remind us that other cities can be great in their own ways. On Friday, culture bloggers Vol. 1 Brooklyn will be holding their first Civic Pride event there, featuring Chicago writers. Adam Levin, author of the epic The Instructions and current Brooklynite / Chicago native Jami Attenberg will read and discuss their works with Vol. 1 editors. To continue the theme, the free drinks will be provided by Goose Island Brewery.
